SOLARIS ENERGY CASE STUDY

 

Solaris Energy is an industry pioneer with more than 30 years of experience in designing, manufacturing and installing renewable energy products. Solaris Energy specializes in affordable, quality solar installations for residential and commercial needs and provide comprehensive solar services including evaluating why solar power is right for you and then helping you maintain your system after you make the switch. The company needed ongoing support in marketing and development to position the brand to grow regionally.

OBJECTIVE

Marketing campaigns, and strong creative that would dramatically increase awareness of the brand in Barbados, Trinidad, USA and Jamaica, and would pave the way for the company to enter other emerging markets in the Caribbean. To support residential and commercial sales individually and widely spread the knowledge and cost-saving benefits associated with Solar Energy in an educational and meaningful way.

SUCCESS/OUTCOMES

Our rebranding efforts positioned the company and brand as an international entity, and within three years, the company grew to four (4) branches and over ve (5) distributors across Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Kitts, Antigua, Dominica. The visibility of the brand grew tremendously with the acquisition of major clients such as the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, and the Ministry of Health, Barbados including the TDC in St. Kitts. The company gained ground with the Sponsorship and partnership of the “I am Bajan Campaign” heralded by Barbados Manufacturers Association. The research was done on the most effective way to capture leads for commercial clients, and at the TT Energy Conference, we collected over 200 residential leads.

 

Our lead collection drive continued through Facebook to develop a mailing list for the company, growing the company’s potential email base to over 2,000. Bi-Monthly press Ads in Trinidad in the Express continued to drive awareness, and attract incoming calls, with supplementary advertising in the Caribbean Beat to target regional clients who fly Caribbean Airlines. Alongside, Pearl Strategies we strategically handled media releases across the Caribbean, as well as the design of Vacancy Advertisement to serve the growth and educational yers to demonstrate the benefits and uses of Solar Energy. Overall, our team was instrumental in branding the company, including collateral and signage, developing a web presence and keeping the brand top of mind and visible.

Between, 2013 - 2016 Solaris Energy installed more than 200,000 gallons in solar water heating systems throughout the Caribbean, and

manufactured more than 25,000 solar water heaters at their manufacturing plant in Barbados. For PV, they have installed hundreds of

thousands of kilowatts at residential, commercial and education facilities.
